The Wauwatosa Beautification Committee (WBC) is an organization committed to preserving and improving the beauty of our neighborhoods by planting and maintaining shrubs, perennial, and annual beds throughout the City of Wauwatosa. It is not funded by any governmental agency, but rather depends solely on individuals who have an interest in beautifying their community.

Participation can take the form of financial support or volunteering time or talent working on the committee. The WBC meets regularly to develop programs that involve concerned citizens, to inform the public regarding special needs, and to increase awareness of the committee's efforts.

The daylily was designated by the Common Council in 1993 as the official flower of Wauwatosa. This carefree and colorful perennial is prized for its prolific flowering habit, its adaptability to a variety of environments and its low maintenance characteristics. Each year perennial beds through the city burst into bloom, enhancing the abundant and ever-changing landscapes in our community.
